An Open Letter to U.S. Senators Carper and Coons

 Wilmington News Journal/Delaware: September 2nd, 4th, 5th, & 7th 2011

I am writing to express my concerns about the nomination of Richard G. Andrews to fill the vacancy on the Federal District Court for Delaware.

Four years ago, my father was the victim of a homicide in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Andrews abused his position as State Prosecutor to shield my father’s killer from prosecution. In his attempts to justify his actions, he has made a number of

misrepresentations to me. Mr. Andrews’ dishonesty and lack of respect for victims’ rights and the rule of law are documented on my website: del-victimsrights.org. See especially the Andrews Complaint (located on the Documents Page). This is a complaint I filed against him with the Delaware Department of Justice in December, 2009. In my opinion, Mr. Andrews does not possess the judicial temperament that a lifetime appointment to the federal bench requires. I urge you to withdraw your support for his nomination and vote against confirming him as judge.

Sincerely,

Dr. Eugene P. Hamilton
