wikipedia: Westchester County
 It is the second-most populous county on the mainland of New York,
after 
the Bronx, and the most populous county in the state north of New York City.
According to the 
2010 Census, the county had a population of 949,113,
estimated to have increased to 967,506 by 2019.


According to census data, the per capita income for the county in 1999 was $36,726.
The American Community Survey lists Westchester in 2011 with the median household income of $77,006,
the 47th highest in the country.
 The U.S. Census Bureau reports that 6.4% of families and 8.7% (2003) of the population
were below the 
poverty line, including 26.53% of those under age 18 and 7.60% of those age 65 or over.
