"served as overall staff coordinator and oversaw the preparation of various Committee documents.  He left the [Federal Judicial] Center in 2005 but has continued his work in support of the Committee.  He was a reporter for the Judicial Conference's Federal Curts Study Committee, a consultant to its Long Range Planning Committee, and provided research for the statutory Commission on Structural Alternatives for the Federal Courts of Appeals. He is a grasduate of Augustana College and the University of Chicago (Ph.D., political science." -- Appendix C "Key Staff" of September 2006 Breyer Committee Report on the Implementation of the Judicial Conduct & Disability Act of 1980
